Antimony trioxide (Sb2O3cap S b sub 2 cap O sub 3𝑆𝑏2𝑂3) is a white, odorless, inorganic powder or solid used mainly as a flame retardant synergist for plastics, textiles, and other materials. It is also used as a decolorizing agent in glass and ceramics, a pigment in paints, a dopant in electronics, and an additive in lead-acid batteries. It is generally insoluble in water but reacts with strong acids and bases. 

Hydroxylamine solution (CAS 7803-49-8) is a 50% aqueous solution of the inorganic compound hydroxylamine (NH₂OH), a weak base primarily used as a powerful reducing agent in various applications, including organic synthesis, analytical and synthetic chemistry, and as an antioxidant. It also functions as a dehairing agent for hides, a component in the semiconductor industry for dissolving photoresists, and in the production of nylon intermediates. 

Perhaps the first report of TTFA as an inhibitor of respiration was by A. L. Tappel in 1960.^[2] Tappel had the (erroneous) idea that inhibitors like antimycin and alkyl hydroxyquinoline-N-oxide might work by chelating iron in the hydrophobic milieu of respiratory membrane proteins, so he tested a series of hydrophobic chelating agents. TTFA was a potent inhibitor, but not because of its chelating ability. TTFA binds at the quinone reduction site in Complex II, preventing ubiquinone from binding. The first x-ray structure of Complex II showing how TTFA binds, 1ZP0, was published in 2005 .^[3]

"4,4,4-Trifluoro-1-(4-methylphenyl)butane-1,3-dione" is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C11H9F3O2, which essentially describes a butane molecule where one end has a "trifluoromethyl" group (CF3) and the other end is attached to a substituted benzene ring with a methyl group at the 4-position (a "p-tolyl" group); it is primarily used as an intermediate in the synthesis of the drug Celecoxib, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Key points about this compound:Chemical structure: A butane backbone with a trifluoromethyl group on the terminal carbon and a p-tolyl group attached to the other end. CAS number: 720-94-5 Application: Primarily used as a key intermediate in the synthesis of Celecoxib. Appearance: Typically a solid, off-white to light yellow in color.
